Between Elizabeth’s spiritual comments and Izzy Wouters’s oversharing of personal information, Below Deck viewers are in for a treat in season 8.

From scanning Elizabeth’s Instagram (@bettabird), we can assume that the Below Deck star is 30 years old. A post from 2013 is captioned: “Turning 23 all alone but it’s all okay cause you’re never really alone“.
Elizabeth also revealed in episode 1 that she has four and a half years of experience working on boats, so we can estimate that she began working in the industry at around 25 years old.
The 30-year-old comes off very comfortable in her own skin. She said during Below Deck season 8 episode 1: “I’ve always been a very spiritual person… I try to get in touch with the mystical through breathwork, mediation, crystals.“

The Below Deck crew often comes together from all over the world. Chief Stew Francesca hails from Sydney, Australia while deckhand James comes from Blackpool, England.
Elizabeth hails from Long Island, New York. But, naturally, with her chosen career, the stewardess is often globe trotting. She’s often posting to IG from the Bahamas, Florida, the US Virgin Islands and more.
According to Bravo, she has a background in high-end hospitality and was introduced to yachting through a former boyfriend.

Elizabeth is already ‘blue-tick certified’ on joining Below Deck and the new cast member has almost 3,500 followers. However, it’s highly likely that her following is going to skyrocket now.
Judging by the looks of Elizabeth’s Instagram account, there’s no current love in her life (besides her West Highland Terrier, Maxwell). She said during episode 1 of the new 2020 series that she often falls for guys on board the boat. This season may just see romance blossom between UK lad James and Elizabeth!
Elizabeth can also be spotted digging into a Beyond Burger on IG, so we can assume that she’s not only a spiritual animal-lover but a vegetarian, too!
